Minister Hope Dukes
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Matthew 5:16 KJV
Minister Hope Dukes, the daughter of Jean Lunn and the late Donnell Dukes and the single mother of 3 amazing sons: Marquese, Jaylen, & Donnell Dukes, is an author, entrepreneur, business extraordinaire, and a domestic violence survivor. Her mission is to motivate & empower people across the world to practice self-love & self-improvement with a confident mindset, so each person can become the best version of themselves and to also understand that any kind of abuse is never, ever okay.
“Now, one thing is for sure: Change is not easy. When you’re striving hard to do the right thing and to fulfill your purpose in life, there will be people, places, and things that will try to deter you from walking in your purpose and will try to take you back to the place that you have been delivered from. So brace yourself. It gets harder from here. But even though the road gets rough, God will never leave you. He will give you the strength that you need to get through any situation, joy in the midst of pain, and His peace that passes all understanding; that’s all you need.” – Minister Hope Dukes
Minister Dukes is also the founder and owner of My Hope Enterprises, which is comprised of all her
business endeavors. Minister Dukes successfully worked at car dealerships in the tri-state area for seventeen years, growing some dealerships from thousands to millions. The Car Dealership Ministry is what she called it and she was given the name “The Credit Doctor” because people said that she would be in her office all the time performing surgery (credit approvals) on her patients (clients) and that she never gave up on her patients (clients).
As the Director of Finance, seeing people with bad credit take out automobile loans with very high interest rates burdened Minister Dukes. In 2006, she decided to open a company, My Credit Hope, that would help those with bad credit to repair and restore their credit, so people would no longer have to take high interest-bearing loans. Minister Dukes’s passion is to help people around the world and her company was one of her many ways to do so.
Minister Dukes also had been wearing waist trainers & girdles for 18 years and these waist trainers had various issues. During the COVID-19 global pandemic, she personally designed her own waist trainers, My Waist Hope Waist Trainers. Men and women all over the world have been purchasing them and she has not had any bad reviews. Her goal is to empower the world to be confident and to love their body.
In 2021, Minister Dukes went through a deep depression. The internal pain got so bad that she cried and prayed, prayed and cried, and she asked God, “God, please take this cup from me. What do you want me to do?” The answer was to write her first book: MY HOPE 52 Devotions to Find Hope Again, which was released on October 23, 2022.
Minister Dukes has a plethora of certifications and licenses along with an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration and Marketing in 2013 from Bergen Community College. On May 17, 2020, she also graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Philosophy and Religion from SUNY College at Old Westbury. Minister Dukes is currently on the road to achieve her Master of Divinity from Shaw University Divinity School, anticipating to graduate in May of 2026.
Minister Dukes was raised in Teaneck, NJ, but was always in Harlem, NY serving at her family church, Church of the Meek under the pastoral leadership of Rev. James R. Neeley, Jr., where she served in almost every ministry. Since the passing of Pastor Neeley, Minister Dukes’ grandmother who raised her, Josephine Lunn, and a host of her family, Minister Dukes was licensed to preach the gospel to all nations by Rev. Marshall D. Morton, Sr. and diligently serves at Little Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church.
Satan thought he had me, but I got my HOPE back... and I am showing the world how to get their HOPE back too. – Minister Hope Dukes
